Leek High School and Westwood College are proud to promote a strong sense of community. They are committed to achieving high standards, equipping students with the skills they need to thrive and providing a well-rounded education that prepares them for the future.
We are a school for students aged between 13 and 19. Our catchment serves mainly the eastern side of Leek and much of the Staffordshire Moorlands, with around half of our students coming from the town and half from the rural areas.
We are a school with a strong sense of community, where your child will be happy and safe. We encourage every student to aim high and accept no limits. Students are treated as individuals; we recognise and celebrate different abilities and interests and believe that everyone can fulfil their potential through dedication and hard work.

Throughout its long and proud history, Westwood College has always valued individuals and individualism. The ethos of the school has had an unswerving commitment to ensuring that all the students have an equal chance to make good use of the education that the school has offered, in order to help them choose their future patterns of life and take full advantage of their opportunities in society.
To do this, the school has always sought to develop personal confidence, the ability to make and sustain fulfilling relationships, flexibility, as well as the skills for the world of work.
