Thank you for your interest in the position of Executive Headteacher at Leek High School and Westwood College, part of The Talentum Learning Trust.
As CEO of The Talentum Learning Trust, I am delighted that you are considering this exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education across our schools. Leek High School and Westwood College sit at the heart of the Leek community, offering a supportive, ambitious, and caring environment where students are encouraged to flourish. Both schools have unique identities and strengths, and we are now looking for a creative leader to bring strategic vision, drive, and expertise to this new role.
As Executive Headteacher, you will lead both schools, fostering collaboration, innovation, and academic excellence. You will work closely with senior leaders and staff to deliver outstanding outcomes while ensuring that the ethos and values of The Talentum Learning Trust remain at the core of everything we do. This really is an opportunity to make a lasting impact in a beautiful part of the world, building on the progress already made and driving further improvement across both settings.
We are seeking a leader who is strategic; with the ability to bring staff together, motivate students, and engage across the town. A leader committed to excellence, yet collaborative and adaptable. This is an exciting role to shape — able to foster a culture of shared best practice across both schools and the wider Trust.
At The Talentum Learning Trust, we are passionate about empowering leaders to make a difference to our learners and the wider community. We are close enough together to have a supportive and collaborative environment. The two schools together educate 1,000 students in years 9-13, making this post manageable for continued professional growth and development.
Westwood College and Leek High already share some staffing hours and a Local Governing Body. The shared aspirations of the town are reinforced by local governors who share the Ofsted focus on the quality of education in the classroom. Governors are committed to shared staff, community and links across Trust network groups. Our collaborative Network Groups model for school improvement has provided significant support to Ofsted outcomes across the Trust.
